Britt and Lawrence met in 2021 and connected over a shared appreciation for European-inspired cooking and eating.

Britt’s family roots in Rome and Abruzzo, coupled with her extensive travels throughout Italy, have deeply fueled her passion for food.

Lawrence’s French background, specifically long summers as a child with his grandmother in the Charente, inspired a love of French cuisine and fresh produce found in the weekly markets.

Over the years, they have always been pulled back to their love of food and have cultivated that love through cooking, educating, and entertaining.

Their partnership culminated in the opening of luna la mer in August 2025.
